We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to support the daily operations in a fine dining restaurant. The ideal candidate will ensure exceptional guest experiences, maintain high service standards, and contribute to the strategic growth of the business.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee restaurant operations to ensure customer satisfaction, premium ambience, and consistent positive reviews.
* Deliver outstanding customer service, resolve guest complaints, and supervise staff to ensure a seamless dining experience.
* Manage opening and closing procedures and report maintenance needs to management.
* Enforce food safety and sanitation protocols for all food and beverage handling.
* Stay updated on industry trends and foster collaboration between Front and Back of House teams.
* Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges.
* Schedule FOH staff, conduct training, and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Collaborate with Line Manager to prepare beverage cost estimates and coordinate procurement.
* Implement efficient ordering and forecasting to maintain optimal stock levels.
* Monitor bar portioning, reduce waste, and enhance profitability.
* Maintain control over beverage inventory, tools, and equipment.
* Ensure compliance with safety and security procedures to protect staff, guests, and company assets.
* Manage cash handling and reconciliation in line with company procedures.
* Prepare and present cost analysis and operational reports to management.
* Contribute to policy development and uphold company standards.
* Assist in monthly business performance reviews and strategic planning.
* Support marketing, advertising, and promotional initiatives for the restaurant.
* Drive strategies aimed at profitable growth and operational excellence.
Qualifications & Skills:
* BSc in any related field
* Minimum of 5 years proven experience in restaurant management, preferably in a supervisory role.
* Experience working in a fine dining environment
* Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
* Strong leadership and team coordination abilities
* Knowledge of food safety standards
* Collaborative team player with a growth mindset and commitment to continuous learning
* Stay updated on food and beverage trends and ensure alignment between FOH and BOH teams
* Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and consistently maintains high standards of personal hygiene
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
* Proficiency in scheduling, reporting, and team training.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
* Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
