We are looking for an organized and hands-on Inventory Officer to support the Inventory Manager in managing the company’s event decoration and rental inventory. The role involves overseeing warehouse activities and being present at events to monitor artisans and ensure proper handling of company assets.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Inventory Manager in the day-to-day management of inventory and warehouse operations.
* Monitor and supervise warehouse operators to ensure proper handling, storage, and movement of items.
* Maintain accurate records of inventory, stock movement, rentals, returns, damages, and losses.
* Ensure all event items are properly checked, packed, dispatched, and returned.
* Attend events to monitor artisans and ensure rental and decorative items are handled properly.
* Conduct inventory checks before and after events and report any missing or damaged items.
* Coordinate with the events and operations teams to ensure timely availability and movement of inventory.
* Ensure the warehouse is properly organized and items are stored appropriately.
* Report discrepancies, damages, losses, or other inventory-related issues to the Inventory Manager.
* Assist with regular stock counts and inventory audits.
* Ensure proper documentation of all items leaving and returning to the warehouse.
Requirements
* HND/BSc in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
* 2–3 years of experience in inventory, warehouse, logistics, or a related role.
* Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management software.
* Experience in events, decoration, rentals, or a similar industry is an advantage.
* Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
* Good attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
* Ability to supervise and coordinate warehouse staff effectively.
* Must be hands-on and willing to work at event locations when required.
* Good communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight event deadlines.
