We are seeking a Demand Planner who will be responsible for forecasting customer demand, planning inventory requirements, and ensuring optimal stock levels to meet sales targets while minimizing excess inventory and stockouts. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and close collaboration with sales, marketing, procurement, and finance teams to support business growth and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
• Develop accurate demand forecasts by product, channel, and location using historical sales data, trends, seasonality, promotions, and market insights
• Prepare short-term (weekly), medium-term (monthly), and long-term (quarterly) demand forecasts, including forecasts for new product launches, events, pop-ups, and seasonal campaigns
• Continuously refine forecasting models and methodologies to improve accuracy
• Lead or participate in monthly Sales & Operations Planning meetings and align demand plans with inventory capacity and procurement lead times
• Identify gaps between demand and supply and recommend actions to balance both
• Translate demand forecasts into inventory requirements, including reorder points, order quantities, and safety stock levels
• Support inventory allocation for new store openings and high-traffic periods
• Identify slow-moving or excess inventory and recommend clearance actions
• Forecast demand for promotional campaigns and analyze promotional effectiveness and ROI
• Track, analyze, and report forecast accuracy, variances, and performance metrics
• Conduct root cause analysis on significant forecast deviations and implement continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, procurement, finance, and product teams to share insights and support decision-making
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field
• Proven experience in demand planning, forecasting, inventory planning, or supply chain roles
• Experience in the beauty, cosmetic, or skincare industry is an added advantage
• Strong analytical skills with experience using forecasting models and data analysis tools
• Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems (experience with forecasting software is an advantage)
• Solid understanding of inventory management principles and supply chain processes
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
